Profile
Jenny Baran, a Bay Area local and self-proclaimed Disney fanatic, enjoys bringing out the inner “star power” in others. She fell in love with tap dance at the age of six and has received training in advanced tap, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary and acting from Notre Dame de Namur University and San Jose State University’s School of Music & Dance.
She has performed in such works as A Christmas Carol, Grease, Gypsy, Wild Honey, The Skin of Our Teeth and several dance workshops. Jenny was also a member of Cheer San Francisco, performing as a flyer/dancer for America’s Best Cheerleading Competition, California’s Great America, San Francisco Chinese New year Parade and various pride parades throughout the country. Most recently, Jenny won KOFY TV’s “Air Guitar Challenge” from Season 1 of the local revamped dance show, Dance Party.
Her philosophy of infusing fun with dance technique while focusing on stage presence and showmanship helps to bring out the authentic entertainer in us all. Jenny believes you never stop learning/dancing and to date expands her dance repertoire by taking a variety of dance classes at Ariel Dance Productions.
A graduate of SJSU with a bachelor’s in Public Relations, Jenny went on to complete her master’s in Pastoral Ministries at Holy Names University in Oakland and now has the pleasure of helping students go to college, as a Communications Counselor Lead for San Jose State University.
