Class Description
Basic Ballet Drill fundamental ballet exercises without the pressure of learning complicated choreography. Work on strengthening and stretching all muscle groups to achieve a dancer’s body and ballet lines. Great for beginning dancers who want to learn the basics and develop proper ballet form. Also useful for intermediate and advanced dancers who want to focus on their technique.

Class format includes warm up and quick stretch, technique drills, floor work, stretching, break down a difficult ballet step and cool down.


Class Description
Belly Dance

Beginning Belly Dance - Technique & Drills, Tuesday, 7:45 pm-9:00 pm
This class will introduce students to the beautiful and elegant art form of Middle Eastern belly dance while building strength, flexibility and great muscle control. The class focuses on building basic belly dance vocabulary. Students will learn the proper posture, isolation techniques, essential moves and traveling steps, and simple dance combinations. Each class includes cardio and stretch warm-up and lots of drills - a good workout guaranteed!

Intermediate Belly Dance - Choreography & Performance, Tuesday, 9:00 pm-10:15 pm
This class offers more challenge to students who already feel comfortable with bellydance essentials. Students are introduced to more difficult techniques, transitions between movements, layering, complex dance combinations and choreographies, props. Musical interpretation and performance skills will be taught as well. Students are encouraged to participate in group performance projects!

Beginning Tribal Belly Dance, Saturday, 12:45 pm-2:00 pm
Tribal belly dance fuses traditional belly dance moves with hip-hop, modern, salsa, flamenco, classical Indian dance, and more. Students will review traditional belly dance movements such as isolations, shimmies, sinuous arms, and undulation and will be given a short combination. This class is open all levels and it's a great way for dancers to build flexibility, strength, and develop musicality

Beginning Bollywood

Bollywood dance has been India's most entertaining and popular form of dance for several decades. It mashes in a unique blend of dances from different parts of the country including Indian folk, classical and is also inspired from western dance forms. Typical Bollywood dances are on songs from popular Hindi (Indian) movies.

Break Dance

B-boy/B-girl (Breakdancing) is an athletic dance form which uses your whole body. You will learn the history and origins of breaking, technique, toprocks, footwork, transitions, freezes and most importantly, how to rock a beat. If possible, bring knee pads, hats/beanies, elbow pads.


Class Description
Contemporary Dance Contemporary Dance fuses ballet, modern dance and it draws from other philosophies of movement that are outside the realm of classical dance technique. This style can be danced to almost any type of music, or united with other dance forms to create new styles of movement.
Beginning-Intermediate Contemporary Ballet Contemporary ballet is a form of dance ifluenced by both ballet and modern dance. It takes its technique from classical ballet, although it permits a greater range of movement that may not adhere to the strict body lines set forth by schools of ballet technique. Many of its concepts come from the ideas and innovations of modern dance including floorwork, balletic movements and and turn-in of the legs.

Bolly Hop
BollyHop is a fusion dance class that blends the urban and Western moves of Hip Hop dance with the Eastern influences of Bollywood movements. Bollywood. This fusion dance is sure to get your energy levels on a new high!
Hip Hop
This class is designed for dancers with no prior experience and it includes a warm-up, hip hop progressions, and a short routine . The focus is placed mostly on style and loosely on technique.
Hip Hop
Learn to dance like you see in the latest. music video clips. Students will learn technique, style and choreographed routine geared toward a dance concert. Selected dancers will be invited to perform in the Ariel Dance Productions' annual concert.

Intermediate Hip Hop A challenging Funk for your feet. The class covers street dance moves such as: hip hop, popping, locking, hitting, jamming to name a few. Don't be surprised if you find yourself being the center of attention the next time you are groovin' on the dance floor at your favorite club.


Jazz, MUSICAL THEATRE, THEAtrical jazz
Class Description
Beginning Afro Jazz

Afro Jazz dance is inspired by infectious rhythms and Afro beats using Pop, Rock, R&B/Soul, and World music. This dance style fuses Caribbean, African, ballet, contemporary, swing, and jazz dance while incorporating technical elements such as turns, jumps, and leaps. This dance class is a fun workout that encourages students to feel free and teaches students what their bodies are capable of doing.

Beginning Jazz Dance for Actors/Singers

Do you dream of taking the stage in a musical production? You can hone your theater chops in this musical performance class.  This class is designed to bring your dance abilities to the next level.  The class starts with exercises for building strength, flexibility and balance, then you'll be introduced to jazz steps that are commonly used in musical theater.  Basic dance techniques to be featured include turns, jumps, leaps, arm placement, posture, balance, and projection.  Class will culminate in a Broadway choreography.

Beginning-Intermediate Jazz This class is for students with some background in dance, although not necessarily experience in jazz. Students will continue to work on technique, balance, strength, coordination, jumps, turns, and short combinations.
Intermediate Jazz

This is a high-energy class that focuses on warm-up, across the floor work, multiple turns, and complex dance combinations: Afro Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk, Lyrical, Musical Theater, and Traditional styles. Students can expect fun, high energy music, experienced teacher and a great workout!

Lyrical Jazz

Lyrical dance style draws from ballet, jazz, contemporary and modern dance. This dance style dance is expressive, subtle, dynamic, and it focuses on conveying musicality and emotion through movement. It is a combination of intricate, highly technical, and pedestrian/naturalistic moves. It is commonly set to popular music with vocals as well as rich instrumental portions of a pop song.

Musical Theatre Basics (ages 7-11)

Learn all the basics of being a musical theater performer! Learn fun acting scenes, acting games, dancing and singing. This is a class for young adults just beginning to develop their acting skills, projecting techniques, memorization capabilities, and singing projection.

Musical Theatre

This performance-oriented class is for those interested in improving stage presence, singing skills, and movement/dance skills. Adult students work on excerpts from standard musical theater repertoire. No prior experience is required.

Theatrical Jazz

This high-energy class trains students in acting for the stage and jazz dance technique to communicate a story to the audience. The structure includes warm-up, progressions (across the floor), skill building, drills and center work with an emphasis on staying in character. Frequently inspired by blending pop-culture with award winning musicals and movies of the past, students may be exposed to a combination of dance styles such as hip-hop, show cheer and vaudeville. Students can expect fun, upbeat music, an experienced teacher and entertainment driven choreography.

Intermediate Tap

Intermediate tap dance technique and choreography class will focus more on intricate footwork, help tap dancers develop speed, clarity, greater showmanship and beautiful sound quality.  Designed to refine existing tap skills this class puts the fundamentals to work by learning new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations. Students will also enjoy learning choreography that blends a variety of tap styles such as Stomp, Showboat, Musical Theatre and Rhythmic.
