Director's Summary
One of the fascinating things about dance is its universal appeal. As the great choreographer Martha Graham once said "Dance is the hidden language of the soul." As such, dance has an innate truthfulness that reveals the true spirit of a person. This season, we celebrate both the diversity of the universalness of dance around the world in "Global Rhythms."
The concert showcases a wide variety of dance styles from around the world, each highlighting a different facet of human spirit. The exuberance of Bhangra, the passion of Latin, the playfullness of Lindy, and the energy of Hip Hop combine to form a human kaleidoscope of life and joy. We look forward to sharing with you this "language of the sould," so sit back and enjoy as we reveal "Global Rhythms."
