Cassandra started training in dance at 3 years old. She trained in  ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary and pointe styles under Charles Solomon, Danielle de Ojeda and Sara Wardell. As a 7-year member of the Dynamics Performance Team, she had multiple opportunities to perform and compete regionally and nationally. Cassandra was the Captain of her high school Cheerleading Team for 4 years, teaching and choreographing for her peers. She was also a founding member of Regent Collective Dance Company (est. 2015) at Notre Dame San Jose. 

Cassandra earned a Performing Arts: Dance Scholarship at Saint Mary’s College of California. Through this, she became a member of the SMC Dance Company for 4 years. She received training in ballet and modern dance under Cathy Davalos, Shaunna Vella, Dana Lawton, Rogelio Lopez, and Andrew Merrell. Along with dance and performance training, she took classes on Dance Pedagogy, Dance in Performance, Dance Science, and even conducted an independent study: Katutubong Sayaw: Philippine Dance. Cassandra was on the SMC Spirit Team for 4 seasons, serving as Captain for 2 by teaching and choreographing for her team under the direction of coach Cassandra Nguyen. She was able to represent her school as a performer at the WCC Basketball Tournament 2016-2019 in Vegas as well as the NCAA March Madness Championships in 2017 in Utah and 2019 in Connecticut. Cassandra is a graduate of Saint Mary's College of California with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology & Performing Arts: Dance. Upon graduating, Cassandra became a member of Chocolate Factory, a competitive choreography dance collective for the 2019-2020 season. She also taught hip-hop, ballet and inclusive movement classes to children throughout the Bay Area. 


Cassandra is currently dancing with QTZ Dance Team at Full Out Studios and takes class whenever she can. She works as an Independent Living Skills Instructor to adults with special needs and teaches adult classes at Ariel Dance Productions. Cassandra is pursuing her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland and hopes to support others in developing their passions and performance skills so that finding joy in meaningful activities is accessible to people of all abilities.
