ARIEL SAFETY PROTOCOLS - WE ARE COMPLYING WITH THE SANTA CLARA GUIDELINES
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority! To that end, Ariel studio has established
the following safety protocols and will be reviewed and updated should CDC or State recommendations change.

Contactless Payment:

1.  We are no longer accepting contact payments.  To register, send payment:

Illness Policy:
If you are showing any signs of being sick, please STAY AT HOME; this will keep our community safe. 
This includes coughing and sneezing due to allergies and other illnesses. If you would like to take class from home, request a zoom link via email 24 hours prior to class.

Prior to Arrival:
All staff and students must complete this Wellness Form every day prior to attending any in-studio classes.  

Upon Arrival:

Students coming through the main entrance will be subject to a screening protocol. This protocol is updated frequently.
1. We will check the temperature of anyone who enters the building with a (no-touch) temporal scanner (students, staff, parents).  Anybody with a temperature higher than 99.9 will be asked to return home.
2. Students over 6 must wear a mask or facial covering at all times in the studio (teachers, staff, students and parents).
3. Please sanitize hands upon entry. Hand sanitizer stations at entry, before entering studios, in both studios, at reception desk, sound system cabinet, kitchen area.
4. Dancers sign wellness form for all in-person training.

- Are you experiencing any of the following?
- Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
- Unexplained cough or sore throat unrelated to seasonal allergies or asthma
- Lost or a reduction in you sense of smell or taste
- Chills or repeated shaking with chills, night sweats, or unexplained muscle or body aches
- Upset stomach, gastrointestinal upset, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
- An unexplained headache or unusual unexplained fatigue or confusion
- Even if you don't currently have any of the above symptoms, have you experienced them in the last 14 days?
- Have you exhibited the above symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days or have you been in close proximity with someone who has?


5. Dancers must arrive in their dance attire and bring their own water bottle.
6. The DRESSING ROOM, WAITING AREA, BATHROOM (no viewing is available) ARE CLOSED & CHAIRS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. Please come dressed and ready.

Dance Studio Capacity:
- 8 dancers and 1 instructor will be allowed in Studio A, 5 dancers and 1 instructor in Studio B.
- All family members are encouraged to drop off and return, or wait outside in their cars.
- Class schedules have offset start and end times to reduce the number of students and parents in
the common areas at one time.
- Please do not arrive early to eliminate any unnecessary waiting around.
- Student who take multiple classes will wait in their classroom for the next class to begin.

Inside The Dance Studio:
- Dance studio floors have been marked off with tape and 6-foot distance floor signs. Each student will have their own 6 foot box to stand inside and do all of their dancing. The box will have marked edges and an X in the center.
- Our teachers remain committed to creating a positive, constructive, healthy environment. Verbal instruction will be given throughout class, but they will not be giving hands-on corrections.
- Dancers will be required to bring their own, pre-filled, water bottles.
- Remember, all bathrooms are closed. Please make sure to use the bathroom before practice starts.
- Front desk will have a “clean & sanitized” pens bucket in addition to a “used” pens bucket to ensure that everyone can use a clean pen to fill out the new student registration form.
- 6-foot social distance decals are placed on the floor throughout the studio to remind everyone of the new 6-foot distance requirement.

Cleaning and Sanitizing:
All high touch items will be sanitized between every dance class. This includes door handles, ballet barres, sound system, light switches, and our front counter.

Cleaning:
- To ensure we have sufficient cleaning time, classes will be shortened from 1 hour and 15 minutes to one hour so the rooms can be cleared and high touch surfaces sanitized before the next class enters.
- High touch areas will be cleaned between classes and at the end of each day.
