What is a production class?

Most dance classes are designed as a production class. The class offers the student an opportunity to learn choreography, staging, costuming, and presentation forms of dance. Selected dancers who show an aptitude for performing will be selected to participate in a bi-annual dance concerts. Dancers are evaluated on the basis of their retention of combinations, stamina, musicality, technique, work ethic and attitude.

How do I know if I'm ready for the next dance level?

Most students have a pretty good idea as to whether or not they are ready to continue onto the next level. If a student experiences a certain level of difficulty in a specific class, we recommend revisiting the same class level again instead of moving on. Moving ahead without having a pretty good handle on material taught in previous levels will eventually lead to a great deal of frustration and prove to be unproductive.
