Profile
Lauren began ballet training at the age of 11 and earned a BFA in ballet pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma in 1983. The dance department there was founded by Yvonne Choteau and Miguel Terekov of the Ballets Russe de Monte Carlo and Lauren was fortunate to have been trained by these two dancers. In 1988 Lauren completed her work for an MA in dance/ movement therapy. She has been teaching dance to children and adults in schools and community centers in the bay area since 1994. Lauren has studied a variety folk dancing in the traditional manner including African, Greek, Flatfooting, Clogging, and Squares and Contras.
