Beginning Salsa Shines with Mizzy, Monday, starting 4/2, 9 pm
Salsa Shines refers to footwork that is performed solo during Salsa dancing. Salsa provides a lot of opportunities for Shines, which can be performed when you break away from your partner momentarily or during your lead/follow as a way to stylize your steps. The goal of this class is to enable students to improvise floorwork sequences on the dance floor with style and confidence.

Mizzy will teach variations in head, arm, and body movement that can be used to enhance simple salsa patterns. Isolation exercises and training routines will be borrowed from other dance disciplines to encourage flexibility, body control, and rhythm. You’ll learn a wide range of fundamental Latin dance skills, including: shimmy, head roll, Suzie Q, shoulder roll, crossover, flare, hip shake, grapevine, torso roll, side tap, box step, body roll plus more.

No partner is needed, this is solo & footwork only. This class is for Men & Ladies! Click here for a full schedule.
