Mizzy is an accomplished and trained Brazilian Samba dancer who received
her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work in 2023 and currently performs independently in the Bay Area. Renowned for
her dynamic and vibrant performances, Mizzy has collaborated with numerous Samba companies since 2017 and served as a backup dancer for various music artists. She has also performed at prominent venues such as the Shoreline Amphitheater for concert events. Her commitment to dance culminated in her selection as a Musa for the prestigious Unidos de Bangu school, where she participated in the grandest Carnival of 2024 in Brazil.
Mizzy’s love for dance ignited at the age of 12, leading her to choreograph and form her own dance team under the high school program “Chispa.” During her college years, Mizzy became a sought-after choreographer for quinceañeras, showcasing her versatility and creativity. Mizzy's talent and dedication propelled her to perform with several Salsa and Samba companies after college; she graced corporate events and private parties with her captivating performances.
Mizzy’s passion extends beyond performance; she is devoted to sharing her extensive dance knowledge with both children and adults. She founded her own dance company under Pura Vida Kidz, which operated until the pandemic. Her goal is to create an enjoyable and approachable environment where everyone can learn and appreciate the art of Samba.
Mizzy continues to inspire and educate, fostering a love for dance in all who experience her vibrant energy and expertise.
